Data Integration Developer

 

General Responsibilities:

Under general direction, formulates/defines system scope and objectives.  Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time and form of desired results.  Provides estimates for assigned tasks.  Prepares detailed specifications from which programs will be written.  Designs, codes, tests, debugs and documents those programs.  Provides research assistance to the Support group.  Understands interfaces amongst various software systems and can determine the impact one system change can have on another.  Adheres to department development procedures, such as coding conventions and the Software Change Request process.  Competent to work at the highest technical level of all phases of applications systems analysis and programming activities.  May be responsible for completion of a phase of a project.  Regularly provides guidance and training to less experienced analyst/programmers.

 

Skills:

The Worthington Steel group is currently going through an Oracle ERP implementation and in order to support the applications, we are looking for candidates with the following skills:

   Must Have:

   * Enterprise Message Queue (MQSeries, JMS, Tibco Rendezvous)

   * Oracle PL/SQL

 

   Nice to Have:
   * Oracle 11i E-business Suite

   * Oracle Interconnect
   * Informatica
   * Java

   * Oracle Forms

 

Additional requirements include the following:

* Excellent Organization skills

* Excellent Problem Solving skills

* Strong Verbal and Written communication

* 5+ years total IT experience

* Candidates must have solid background with using various Software Development Life Cycles and Coding Conventions

* Bachelors degree in a technical field
